Dr. Hanna founded CA Cortex Medical Group to bring advanced psychiatric treatment into a more connected model of care, combining careful diagnosis, evidence-informed treatment planning, and close collaboration with the physicians already caring for medically complex patients.
He earned his bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of California, Irvine, received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, and completed psychiatry residency training at Loma Linda University. His treatment philosophy considers the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions that can shape a patient’s mental health and recovery.
His professional background includes outpatient and public-sector psychiatry, with an interest in the intersection of psychiatric illness, neuroscience, and complex medical care. His academic work has included neuropsychiatric complications following stroke, and he received the Southern California Psychiatric Society’s 2021 Excellence in Education Award.
Cortex represents thought, perception, and clinical precision. Wave represents movement, adaptation, and momentum.
